Taylene Spaniels are located in Rothienorman 25 miles North West of Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The kennels are owned by Gordon Sutherland, who aims to produce Spaniels with style, drive and handling ability, which are suitable for trialling and ultimately the shooting field. Puppies which are brought in at eight weeks, are sourced from the top trialling breeders. Since the Legislation governing the docking of pups in Scotland, most of the pups come from England. Gordon first trialled dogs in the seventies, over the years he has enjoyed success winning several novice trials and one open stake, which qualified him for the 2000 Spaniel championship where he gained a diploma of merit. In addition to training and running dogs Gordon has been over the years heavily involved in the administration of several gundog clubs. Gordon is also an (A) panel judge for spaniels, in this position he has judged overseas in Sweden and in Northern Ireland. |
